After trying to overclock my i5 4690k to around 4GHz on a z97 Gaming 5 motherboard, I saved it and exited out of the BIOS to apply the overclock, the computer restarted and went to a black screen.

I don't get any display on my monitor, and all fan speeds including GPU go to max. I have tried removing the battery from the motherboard and also taking out power supply. The screen is still black.

Any help would be appreciated

How long are you taking the CMOS battery out for as some motherboards are different so are 30 some can take up to 5 mins.

If you turn off you PC unplug PSU then remove CMOS battery for however long your motherboard needs put CMOS back in and reconnect power it should reset your BIOS back to default
