The answer is no, only brand names, 2 letters and 3 letter tags are worth money. The # system will make no difference to any other gamertags as there were millions before the new system was even put in place.

i have a # tag because someone sadly hacked my xbox main when i was abroad ..

while we are on the subject about # tags is there any way i can not have a # tag and go back to the old fashioned way

Get a gamertag that has not been used before. Gonna be hard at this point, but if you find a tag that hasn't been used, you will become the "original" and anyone else using that tag in the future will begin getting numbers.

OP: the tags that are worth money now will continue to be the ones worth money, so no, tags that people don't want now won't become desired because they have no number. People will still focus on buying 3 or 4 letters and (semi) OG tags.
