Hi, so I can't really decide which 27 inch 144hz curved gaming monitor to get. I am really interested in:

this one

But it's pricey.. I want something just under £200, can be used but in perfect condition.

Time for a reality check.

There are a lot of monitor options out in the world, and there are the extremely cheap, the reasonable and the expensive.

First off a 27" monitor by standard because of the hardware in consists of will make it more expensive to make, but they're not that much more than a size smaller. Add features like 144Hz and curved and you are out of a 200 bracket immediately. Especially if you want a good picture and you will want that with a curved monitor or else you can end up with the cheap end products that at the curved edges you'll have artifacts from lines to that of extremely poor viewing angles and color distortion. Above anything though your refresh rate automatically makes it more expensive, especially anything at 120+ Hz. That's just the reality of the market and the constant buzzword we all wish died being "GAMING!"

So instead of trying to look for bad products ask yourself instead what you have, what you want versus what you need. If you think a higher refresh rate will make you a better gamer, you're wrong. It'll always come down to reaction and accuracy. Higher refresh rates just mean a smoother image. 60Hz is the PC standard minimum, the "guidance" line is 144. But the difference to 120 and 144 is minimal and can shave off some of the price. Curved monitors? Me personally I have 3 flat monitors all boxed around me. I could not even begin to care about curved monitors. UNLESS they could match this current type of build I have, and they don't. It's not more immersive, it doesn't increase your FOV or anything. I've used curved monitors, and seen them as nothing more than an idiotic gimmick that I just couldn't fathom possibly catching on. And they haven't. Sure there are curved monitors, but when you start looking at high end, color accurate, HDR, ports beyond just DP and HDMI, 1440p, 4K, VA, IPS. That curved fad is not around. Don't fall into a fad... just get something that makes sense for you.
