Just a general discussion on why I stopped playing a game that had such high potential.

Firstly, I spent months smashing the game to level 100 and I thoroughly enjoyed it for everything it was offering. It felt like a great battle royal game.

However, I started to realise that the push for micro transactions was focused on more than getting content out to the players. There was on-going requests for them to introduce duos and solos so we don't have to be stuck with a third wheeler. At one point solos was introduced but for a limited time....why the hell was this? Both duos and solos would offer the game so much freshness and I only recently jumped back on after around a 6 month break and I've noticed the shadow fall is a limited time event (I get that it's for halloween but this game needs something else to offer) and the fact you cant pick the old map infuriates me.

One thing I've noticed is the absolutely atrocious player base around this game. From players just killing themselves to players backing out once they've gone down. It's safe to say this game doesnt have a lot of lifespan left.

I believe the reason for threes is the hero system that Apex has unlike other BRs.

A lot of the cast has abilities meant for working with a squad and the introduction of solos/duos would potentially make a lot of the cast much more irrelevant.

As for the community.... randoms are super bad but I wouldnt say thats unique to Apex. If you are on console there are solid LFG clubs that you can use to find players w/ mics that are around your skill level!

With the introduction of a new map I believe Apex will still be here for quite a lot longer!

I mean, they are targeting the "rare" community. I can't tell you how many times i've gotten messages from kids saying "bro where did you get that airship assassin" i didn't even realize it was a rare skin until later down the road. People eat that stuff up. There's people who legit wont even play games because there are skins/cosmetics they can't get because they didn't play 2-3+ years ago.

Plus, its a f2p game. And its 1st person, meaning there's even less of a reason to buy character skins. And camos don't really do anything for me. They're cool but not 20$ cool. It's just silly stuff that kids and people who don't know better want.

As for the whole going down and leaving thing. Simply put, either make some friends through LFG's or play ranked. 9 out of 10 times they're always in game chat willing to do callouts. Ive met a couple of dudes from here and from apex streams on twitch that i regularly watch and they're pretty nice players. I even went on a 5+ game win streak with these guys.
