Don't believe you'll need to update bios on that Motherboard for that CPU.
Although if you were to upgrade to Ryzen 7 you would.

Going from Ryzen 1st gen, to 2nd or 3rd gen, are the ones you'd need bios updates for unless your board is up to date out the box.

3, 5, and 7 are for their tiers, those signify core count basically with Ryzen 3 being 4 core, Ryzen 5 being 4-6 core, and Ryzen 7 CPU's having 8 cores, you could take a board with a Ryzen 3 1200 inside of it, and upgrade that to a Ryzen 7 1700x without needing a bios update because it's still first generation, but if your board was made for first gen, and you tried a Ryzen 7 2700x, that's where you'd need a BIOS update first.

OP, you shouldn't need a BIOS update, BUT, update your BIOS the moment you get it set up anyway, so that way in the future if you want an upgraded CPU but aren't ready for a new board, you'd be ready
