The annoyance of having a Menaphite thug wanting to kill you and interrupting your pickpocketting may be the worst thing about blackjacking. You would have to use really weird pid movement to get back to pickpocketting due to you not being able to during combat.
Well I just found a way to keep pickpocketting and cancel out the phase where he continues to hit you when you fail to knock the thug out. (please keep in mind this may not be a new idea/concept, just for knowledge only for the forum.) Please look at this video of when a Menaphite keeps hitting you when you fail to knock him out in which stops you from pickpocketting/thieve in general. Click the spoiler to find out how to skip this combat phase ;p The way to skip this phase is by simply clicking the pickpocket option after his first hit of failing. It's rather simple, but you would need to be quick because you won't be able to cancel the combat phase if he gets his second hit on you. Now here is a video of me attempting to skip this interruption. As you can see he stop attacking me after I successfully pickpocket him after his first hit on me. Please not that it doesn't matter whether if you successfully pickpocket the thug or fail to, it'll still cancel the annoying combat phase and you'll be able to continue knocking him out instantly after.
