Would an air to air exchanger help with cat allergies?

Probably not because all it does is recycle the air in circulation. Try throwing the whole cat away.

if you or someone you live with is allergic to a cat give the cat away to a loving family, but no most likely not as it will just be recycling the air if i recall(im the only person who spells the full word).

never own a pet if youre allergic to it but im pretty sure theres something now to deal with the allergies

No we are fine with the cats. We have a friend that might stay over during the winter if it gets bad. This is a new house we are closing on in December and it has one so I tried googling but got the same response as you guys, was just curious if someone has hand on experience. She is allergic to cats but usually takes a benadryl and is fine. She will be staying in a basement room and I think If I just get a second purifier and just clean up before she comes.

Thanks for the responses guys!!
