The official website for the anime of FUNA's Didn't I Say to Make My Abilities Average in the Next Life?! (Watashi, Noryoku wa Heikinchi de tte Itta yo ne!) light novel series began streaming a character promotional video on Tuesday that highlights the E-rank hunter Reina.

The anime will premiere this October, and stars:

Azumi Waki as Mile / Misato Kurihara
Sora Tokui as Reina
Fumiko Uchimura as Mavis
Masumi Tazawa as Pauline
Wataru Hatano as Nano
Hiyori Kono as Renny
Masahiko Ohta (Minami-ke, Yuruyuri - Happy Go Lily, Gabriel DropOut) is directing the anime at project No.9. Takashi Aoshima, who has worked with Ohta on many of the series he directed, is in charge of series composition. S Watanabe (Momo Kyun Sword, Girls Beyond the Wasteland episode animation director) is drawing the character designs.

Cast members Azumi Waki, Sora Tokui, and Masumi Tazawa will perform the opening theme song "Smile Skill=Sukisukiskill" as their respective characters and under the unit name Akaki Chikai, and Waki will also perform the ending theme song "Genzai Banzai " as Mile.

Seven Seas Entertainment licensed both the novels and the manga, and it describes the story:

When she turns ten years old, Adele von Ascham is hit with a horrible headache-and memories of her previous life as an eighteen-year-old Japanese girl named Kurihara Misato. That life changed abruptly, however, when Misato died trying to aid a little girl and met god. During that meeting, she made an odd request and asked for average abilities in her next life. But few things-especially wishes-ever go quite as planned.
FUNA launched the original novel on the "Shsetsuka ni Nar!" (Let's Become Novelists!) website in January 2016. Neko Mint launched a manga adaptation on Earth Star Entertainment's Comic Earth Star website in August 2016. Yuki Moriki launched a four-panel spinoff manga titled Watashi, Miochij wa Heikinchi de tte Itta yo ne! (Didn't I Say to Make My Everyday Life Average in the Next Life?!) on the Comic Earth Star website on July 11.
