these are the 2 builds im considering help me chose one keep in mind build one is cheaper because it uses an older gen cpu but i can always upgrade the cpu next year if i decide he current cpu in build one doesnt fit my needs it will also save me money so here they are also keep in mind i just bought my 1660Ti back in march of this year so i dont plan to upgrade my gpu till another few years down the road i also dont plan to use anything other then 1080p lastly keep in mind my current rig has a full 48gb ddr3 ram so its gonna be an adjustment going from 48-16
BUILD 1:
cpu: [Minimum post requirement for links]
mobo: [Minimum post requirement for links] b450 tomahawk&cm_re=msi_b450_tomahawk-_-13-144-189-_-Product
ram: [Minimum post requirement for links]
build 2:
cpu: [Minimum post requirement for links]
mobo: [Minimum post requirement for links]
ram: [Minimum post requirement for links]
ok so heres the deal i have read loads of reviews watched loads of youtube videos and i know the 3600 is say 10% faster in gaming but idk if its worth the price and stuff i mean if i was gonna say upgrade to a more higher end gpu in say 4 months then yes 3600 for the win but i plan to keep my 1660Ti till i play a game that doesnt run well with the 1660Ti for example i upgraded from my RX470 to my 1660Ti because shadow of the tomb raider didnt run well due to the 4gig vram so let me know what you think and remember i can always upgrade next year if needed i just wanna build something that will last me a while
i await your reply and thanks for helping me feel free to suggest any changes you may have

already have case psu HDD and 360mm aio cooler hence why they are not part of the builds

i guess im having trouble deciding which cpu would pair best with my 1660Ti for 1080p gaming im building this system to play shadow of the tomb raider and AC:ODYSSEY and wanna get 60fps constant on medium or high settings in both games

What is your budget/currency?
What case do you have?
What PSU do you have?
What is your storage set-up, HDD(s) and/or SSD(s)?
What 360mm AIO have you got?
What monitor(s) are you using with this system?
Is it just being used for gaming?

Also, what CPU/Mobo do you currently have that you're running with 48GB RAM?

Still need a budget/currency.

What SSD do you have? and 24TB worth of HDD?
You're probably going to want to replace that monitor asap.

You could maybe grab a used i7-4790k and Z97 motherboard to hold on to that 48GB RAM. You'll probably be able to get an R5 2600 and a decent motherboard new for the same price, but then you have to spend a little extra for DDR4 RAM.

If you're going to go Ryzen, then I'd stick with the B450 Tomahawk but get the R5 3600 over the 2600.
