Hi all

This is the first time I've built a PC and not sure what has gone wrong.
I followed a step by step instructions and the only thing I could not do was connect the molex cables. There seem to be two separate, smaller connections where the molex connection should be.
I've included as many photos as possible to show current connections/wires left below, if anyone sees anything wrong or missing.

Any help gratefully received. As I say I am new to PC builds so step-by-step instructions are probably best lol

Many thanks

Saul

If you have nothing to plug your molex cables into, then there's nothing to worry about; however, the screenshots you posted look like SATA cables and molex combined. If you have extra, and nothing else to plug them into, that's fine, it does happen. Something that confuses me is it looks to be a PCI-E 6-pin connector +2, but is missing the last 2 connectors, which is usually reserved for the GPU, which is something I'm also not seeing a connection to (unless I'm just blind.)

When you say it doesn't power on, do you mean you attempt to turn it on and literally nothing happens or a hang up starts? Like you turn it on, some hardware turns on and then just goes out?

First thing I would try, is look at your F_Panel connector, take it out and make sure that it is seated properly. There should be writing on the motherboard stating something like On/Off, Reset and other stuff -- make sure that the F_Panel connector is lining up exactly to everything.

Second would be your 12v connector in the top left of the case near your CPU. It's 100% possible to put those backwards because most of the time they're not labeled which way they should go and putting in backwards takes virtually no effort at all, it may feel like it's going in like it should.

Third is an easy one but does happen. Over on your PSU, make sure you flip the switch for it. Needs to be on the I position instead of the O position. Also it's worth testing another outlet in the house just in case the one you're trying now isn't giving it any power.

Now if all of those don't work, it's time to trial and error testing. RAM that hasn't been seated properly can cause issues, case fans that have a short in them can cause issues, so it's going to be a one by one thing.

With your PC powered off, take the RAM out and re-seat them, make sure you hear a click for both ends of each RAM stick. You can try different lanes too, right now you have (from left to right) your RAM in Lane 2 and 4. Try 1 and 3 if 2 and 4 after re-seating don't work. If both attempts don't work, try one RAM stick each and see if it works.

If RAM doesn't work, unplug each case fan and try one at a time to see if there is one with a short somewhere causing an issue.

If nothing after fans work, take out your GPU and try to power on then.

Could you also post your part listing for the whole PC you created?
