I just got all the parts to a new build including a 2080 Ti by gigabyte with 3 fans but when I first turn on the computer to check and see if the fans function, the first thing I notice once the GPU lights up is that one of the side fans on the heat sink sound like it is hitting (or scrapping) against another part while it is rotating.

Can this be fixed?

Any pointers?

Is the GPU supported correctly. If you have GPU sag, this would be my best guess of what's causing it.

I'd check that out first and if not, contact Gigabyte and get another GPU sent to you.

So I took apart the front plastic covering with the Gigabyte logo and all of that without touching the heat sink and I found that it is literally just one screw that connects the front plastic fan shield to the other heat sink hardware that is causing the fan to come too close to the plastic.

I removed that one tiny screw and it is now not making any scrapping noise.

However, is it fine if I were to just keep that screw off and let the card function without it? It turns on and off just fine now and I have a small little hardware piece holding up the card a tad bit to prevent some sagging but considering how I spent literally $1300 on the card, I want to be sure if this is a safe bet.
