Hey all, I am at the final purchases for my first build. I'm down to the storage. I plan to get an SSD and HDD. What I'm looking at right now is a seagate barracuda 2tb 7200rpm and WD m.2-2280 500gb. I can get both for a total of around $115. If at all possible, I would like to stay at this budget, maybe go to$120 or $125.
Do you guys have any other suggestions or would this be alright? I plan to use the SSD for the OS. |

You can get some good 1TB SSD's for around $90/95 these days, I'd probably just grab one of those for now and add an HDD later. The Intel 660p is ridiculously well priced right now.
If you're set on getting a 2TB HDD and 500ish GB SSD; PCPartPicker Part List Storage: Intel - 660p Series 512 GB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive ($59.99 @ Newegg) Storage: Seagate - Barracuda Computer 2 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($49.99 @ Amazon) Total: $109.98 |
