CPU: AMD - Ryzen 5 3600 3.6 GHz 6-Core Processor ($199.00 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: MSI - B450 TOMAHAWK ATX AM4 Motherboard ($134.89 @ OutletPC)
Memory: Corsair - Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 Memory ($69.99 @ Amazon)
Storage: Intel - 660p Series 1.02 TB M.2-2280 Solid State Drive ($84.99 @ Newegg)
Video Card: EVGA - GeForce RTX 2060 6 GB SC ULTRA GAMING Video Card ($339.99 @ Amazon)
Case: Cooler Master - MasterCase H500 ATX Mid Tower Case ($99.99 @ Amazon)
Power Supply: SeaSonic - FOCUS Plus Gold 550 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply ($74.99 @ Amazon)
Total: $1003.84

It looks like all the mid range B450 motherboards are sold out at reasonable prices, seems everyone is buying them for Zen 2 lol. I'd wait for the B450 Tomahawk to come back in stock for $110/115 and grab it then.

I'd be looking at Zen 2 for the IPC, so if 6C/12T is enough for you then the R5 3600 is great. If you're wanting 8C/16T though, then yeah even for $220 the R7 2700 is solid. It's kinda hard to justify the extra $100 for the 3700x. Amazon have the 2700 for $200 now it seems;
amazon.com/dp/B07B41717Z/?tag=pcpapi-20
I think $150 was the prime day sale price. B&H even have the 2700x for $250, which is decent(though I think I'd rather just save the $50 and get the 2700);
bhphotovideo.com/c/product/140463...2700x.html

AIB RX 5700's should start coming out in the next 2-4 weeks, and cost about the same as an RTX 2060 so it might be worth holding off for one of those, maybe even an RX 5700XT which is more in line with RTX 2070 performance.

I'd be looking at 1440p 144Hz displays to pair with this system, maybe even 3440x1440 since you're wanting dual monitors.

Viotek 3440x1440 100Hz
MSI 3440x1440 100Hz
Viotek 1440p 144Hz
Those are the monitors I'd be looking at probably, all 3 of which have Freesync and are VA panels.

Okay thank you for this, I went ahead and got the AMD Ryzen 7 2700 Processor with Wraith Spire LED Cooler for $198 while I could on Amazon.

I'm buying a part every couple days so it's not just such a huge expense for me at one time and to kinda see how the prices flux. I guess I am going to hold off on the graphics card to be the last part that I buy.

I'm a bit confused on the motherboard because on your part picker link it says Warning! These parts have potential issues or incompatibilities
- Some AMD B450 chipset motherboards may need a BIOS update prior to using Zen 2 CPUs. Upgrading the BIOS may require a different CPU that is supported by older BIOS revisions.

and also is the fully modular power supply much better than the $20 one r00t provided me with in his list? Are these the ones that don't have all the wires etc?

That's just for Zen 2. Since you've got an R7 2700, you can ignore that. It just means that if you were to buy an R5 3600, or R7 3700x, you'd have to have the BIOS on the motherboard updated to work with the newer CPU.

Fully modular means the cables are separate, and you only have to plug in whichever cables you use. A non modular PSU has all the cables connected. Fully modular is just better/easier for cable management to be honest. The Seasonic S12III is a good budget PSU, but yeah the Seasonic Focus Plus Gold is definitely a better quality unit. The S12III would definitely do the job if you'd rather save some cash I suppose.

Okay yeah I noticed where they talked about that some videos and I was wanting to go with the fully modular because I want my build to look extremely clean.

This is my first hands on build, are there anything I should prepare for before the build? Like things they don't really mention in a video that I should have ready. Thanks for all the help again, just ordered the ram also.

It seems that the motherboard you suggest is basically sold out everywhere besides walmart for $170 lol

Do you have any suggestions?

With most cases having basements now, it doesn't really matter so much for aesthetics tbh. It does make cable management a hell of a lot easier though. The EVGA 550W G2 has come down to $75 now as well, which is a great price;
pcpartpicker.com/product/qYTrxr/e...20g20550y1
so a good alternative to the $75 Seasonic PSU.

Not really that I can think of, so long as you have a screwdriver. Might be handy to have some isopropyl alcohol and spare thermal paste in case you have to re-apply it, but the cooler should come with pre-applied paste anyway so you don't really need to.

Newegg had it back in stock for $115 yesterday, but sold out quickly it appears. I'd just keep an eye out and grab the B450 Tomahawk when it comes back in stock at a reasonable price. You could get a more expensive mobo, might be easier to find one in stock, but you really don't need to spend more than $120 for the B450 Tomahawk.

The B450 Gaming Pro Carbon is the same mobo, but with Wi-Fi. You can usually get it for $160, which is a bit pricey IMO, but it's another decent option. That said, it's also out of stock everywhere currently.

On the higher end, the MSI X470 Gaming Pro Carbon is great, and so is the Asus TUF X570. The TUF X570 is $200, and the X470 Gaming Pro Carbon is $180, both are currently in stock but they might be gone again soon.

So I ended up going with this mother board pcpartpicker.com/product/dQgzK8/a...b450m-pro4

Any recommendations on a more budget graphics card with high power for the parts I've already got? or should I just save up for the 2060?

Also am I going to need fan splitters or anything to wire my fans to the motherboard? I was watching someone on youtube say that but they were using a different motherboard, another video I watched the guy didn't mention anything about that.

I wouldn't have gone with such a low end motherboard for an R7 2700. It'll work though.

Conjur wrote Any recommendations on a more budget graphics card with high power for the parts I've already got? or should I just save up for the 2060?

I definitely wouldn't buy anything lower end than an RX 5700/RTX 2060 for 1440p144Hz or 3440x1440 100Hz. If you're going to cut your budget, then it would make sense to cut back in other areas, like the case/PSU before GPU, but I can't tell you how much to spend- that's up to you.

Conjur wrote Also am I going to need fan splitters or anything to wire my fans to the motherboard?

Not unless you plan on using more fans than your motherboard has headers. Can't remember if it's 3 or 4 on the B450M Pro4, but should be at least 3.
