I just loaded up Medakas menu and it works fine in private match, but when I que online i just sit in the lobby forever and it never connects me to anybody. Any ideas on how i could fix this? thanks!

Possibly ran out of xbox live gold? I know that some games require real gold to play online with other people. that or somehow you've force hosted yourself

Just purchase a 2 day trial of xbox live, you can get them cheap now days. That should fix your issue

Bo2, Ghosts, advanced warfare, bo3. Also battlefield and some other random games I've tried.
