I believe it's called laminate. We bought a dresser for our baby due in August but it's got that fake wood on it. I just sanded it with 220 grit but it's like super smooth now. I used 220 cause a video said to be careful and what not... if it's supposed to be nice and smooth then we're good.. I was gonna go get some like 60 grit to scuff it up but I'll wait to see what you guys say if you have dealt with this before...
