I'm going upgrade my internet and will have 1000mbps/ gigabit and would like any all modem and router recommendations

The Netduma is pretty good as a router as far as I know. You can prioritize traffic and geo block places etc... Really good software as well with loads of features.

I don't know the details to your specific situation, but you could probably use just about any router that supports 802.11ac. You can usually find one for $50 to $100 USD.

You really don't need to go all out and get a high-end gaming router. If you want to get a competitive edge in video games you should use an ethernet cable instead. WiFi can be spotty especially when it has to go through walls.

As for a modem, you probably don't need to worry about that because your ISP will most likely give you one.
