Day 2 of E3. I stuck around the Nintendo side of things mostly because Square Enix was legit just blocked up and literally cut one side of the hallway out due to people just being forced to line up and wrap around the booth and even bleed into other booths. FF7 was out of tickets and capped out for the day within 5 minutes of E3 opening it's doors. With that said:

Pokemon Sword and Shield. As I was complaining during the Direct they had last week, Dynamax is seriously as gimmicky as I had said, but it's worse than I had thought. Any move you use in Dynamax form that is based on a weather type, changes the weather. If you use a water move, it causes rain. Rock/ground moves, causes sandstorm. Fire moves, sunny day. Ice moves, hail. While this doesn't seem bad on paper, it boosts the attack of moves for certain weather and nerfs other. Example, in rain, water moves deal an extra 50% damage and fire moves will decrease by 50% and will always make the move Thunder and Hurricane hit with 100% accuracy. Sandstorm gives Rock raises their special defense by 50%. Few examples, so Dynamax isn't just a 3 turn nuke, it's a 3 turn nuke that makes repeated moves stronger and at the same time changing the weather as moves are used, which I think is the dumbest thing ever. We do not need Weather Wars back from Gen 5. I'm also just salty towards Gen 8 in general. There are no Mega Pokemon, no Z moves and you CAN'T transfer over any Pokemon that are not native to the region. That Mew you've been trucking around since Gen 3, yeah, well sorry, too bad, it can't go have fun in the game. There once again is no National Dex, just a regional dex. If these issues weren't happening, shit, I would seriously be hyped for Pokemon, it plays so smoothly, it's movements are fluid and the attack animates are crisp, but Dyanamx is annoying and then them just cutting out content, there's no excuse for that at all.

Luigi's Mansion 3. I had very low hopes jumping into this but I was kinda proven wrong very quickly. The original Luigi's Mansion, a serious strong game, Luigi's Mansion 2? Nah, shouldn't have happened, but Luigi's Mansion 3 just plays proper. I don't know if it's the change in hardware but it doesn't feel as sluggish as it did on the 3DS. I will admit, the demo made the game seem really easy with the whole slam mechanics since it chips off a certain amount of health per ghost and can hurt other ghosts too, instead of like the original where you only had your vacuum and you had to manage the pulling force, but I understand that they're not going for a copy/remake of the original. The new mechanics are rather interesting and I'm really hoping they fully flush those out for boss fights and not have them be "use this mechanic for this one type of enemy" or "use this to get that one chest down the hall and not touch it for a few hours."

I touched some more indie games and nothing really stood out to me like yesterday, some were good, but nothing really made me too excited for it's release.

I saw Jack Pattillo from Rooster Teeth walking towards the West Hall when I was heading for South Hall, but shit, I lost sight of the dude when I went to get my phone from my backpack and I just let it pass after he basically disappeared into the crowd of people. Charles Martinet (voice of Mario, Luigi, Wario) has also been "creeping" around E3, signing stuff for people and just stopping to chat with them for a few minutes. Hoping I can bump into him tomorrow because I got to talk with him for like, less than a minute back at E3 in 2017 before he got pulled aside by some staff and dude is just such a breathe of fresh air lol

Plans for tomorrow are Links Awakening (they got a dope ass keychain I want.) Cyberpunk 2077 if it's not packed again, Square Enix if it's not utterly filled up. I want to swing by the Sega booth and try out whatever they may have going on. Then it will be time to explore and binge buy some stuff. After that, need to leave the convention to go like 2 blocks down to the Microsoft convention since I found out that was just a thing that wasn't in the main stadium for E3 and see what they have going over there.

wittycaIf47 wrote Nintendo had my favorite conference by far - The new zelda was very unexpected and I am so hyped for that, new animal crossing it's a shame it's been delayed but with good reason and I can live with that. I can't wait for Witcher 3 that will be such a low quality version I would imagine but still will be excellent.

Banjo in smash as well is too good.

As well as Luigi mansion looks fire for switch didn't even know that was dropping till I saw the trailer looks amazing

Alright so day 3, final day of E3. The lines were absolutely horrendous. Legend of Zelda and Pokemon capped out at 12 PM, thankfully I got through Link's Awakening -- albeit it a 4 hour line. Final Fantasy and Cyberpunk 2077 were once again capped out all day and I should have expected that.

Onto Link's Awakening, while I didn't enjoy the original Link's Awakening, I did like this one slightly more. The overworld artwork is nice, but I am not really a fan of the chibi style for the characters. The game also seems much easier with the shield as it comes out fast and gets a lot of priory to block attacks unlike the original, you can legit run into enemies as "spam" to make them just get stunned for a second while keeping the shield out to kill them with the sword.

I headed over Xbox/Microsoft to play Gears 5, but they kept losing power so I eventually just left because it was getting on my nerves. That was a game I wanted to try out a lot.

Over on Nintendo side again, I got "kicked" out of the More Games area they had because I was "bullying" the killer on DbD, when in reality, I was playing it like I do on my PC and it's not my fault they couldn't figure things out.

Unofficial smash tournaments were being hosted last day which was dope to play, but shit, 8-player smash is like legit WW3 lmfao.

I got to meet Charles Martinet and he was giving out signed copies of a photo of him which was pretty dope. He ended up hanging out around the Luigi's Mansion area to meet and chat with people for a few minutes.

There was a Cloud and Tifa cosplaying couple and one of the better cosplays I had seen during this year.

Also, this is the goodest boy ever, don't @ me.

With that, it wraps up E3 and I'm looking forward to next year, having high hopes for certain studios/companies and hoping the next convention is managed a little better in terms of time for the lines. Last year wasn't this bad, but nothing is going to get as bad as 2017 when they made E3 public.

Yeah I wasn't aware of that as well I believe I heard some rumours prior to that but that is such a classic series as well I can not wait to hop back in. My switch is going to gain so much more playtime now.
