Maze wrote I've wnated a switch for some time now, and I hope after e3 is a good time to get one.
I would hope they announced the new version of the switch, which means a price drop on the original probably will not happen, so I may just wait for the holidays to get a good sale.
The reason?
Well the switch already has a good line up of games that I want to try like let's go, super smash, and Zelda.
Their stream this year should be awesome though. I'm almost positive we will learn a lot about the new Pokmon games and the new animal crossing game! I can't wait to see what else they have in store for us!

Yup I want one as well. Im hoping to get one for my birthday which is in august. But TTG said its probably better to wait for the next release one for the switch he thinks there might be a price drop. I don't really care which switch if it was the original or newer one. I even thought about buying one Refurbished or Used (I bought my PS3 used and never had any issues) again TTG said better to buy one new cus the refurbished and used are $260 and the new one is $300 not much of a price drop.

Didn't Nintendo already say they weren't doing a Switch Mini or a Switch Pro like a bunch of people thought a few months back? I swear back in April they had said there wasn't going to be a new switch and nothing to show with regards to one at E3. If any of you guys want to buy a Switch, buy one maybe late July or August. The reason being is after E3, it is not uncommon for people to go out and buy consoles because they're excited about so and so game, which makes stock less and can raise the prices of some. It's better to get one after E3 but before any big releases happen

Nicky wrote Ooo I will be watching this. Nintendo has done very well with the switch and I am highly considering buying one. My brother has one and he loves it. So many cool games are now being able to be played on the Switch so I'm definitely thinking about it. Hopefully they have a good E3 show.

Yess!! I want to get one as well. I all ready have Xbox One and PS4 and 3 and also 3DS. But all the cool games seems to be going to the switch . It's like the biggest console right now.

I know! The biggest console yet so cool to either play on itself or up on a tv or monitor pretty sick device!

I think what you might of heard, was Nvidia mentioning that they expect to have GPU growth sales from the Nintendo Switch. Now, I don't know if that means if current Nintendo Switch uses Nvidia as a GPU and they expect an increased amount of volume sales over the next few months or if that means that Nintendo is going to do a new Switch with a Nvidia GPU in it, but I don't think it would be at E3 -- considering Nintendo themselves came out to say there is no new Switch to be shown at E3, maybe something like Computex is where it'll be show cased or maybe through one of their Directs a month or so after E3. Either way, try to play it by ear for buying your Switch. If nothing confirmed for a new console comes before any major releases (Pokemon will probably come in November like the previous ones) and/or any other releases they may have lined up, it might be good to get the Switch and wait until when/if a new one comes out, then sell your current on for some cash back.

Does anyone here have a switch and could let me know if it's a good buy. With e3 coming up I'm really tempted on getting one because so many cool games are now playable on the Switch.

Fantastic buy. I bought mine Black Friday 2017 and haven't had a problem or a real negative thing to say with the console at all. I told myself I wasn't going to buy one unless Metroid Prime 4 or Smash Bros was announced at E3 2017 and Prime 4 was announced, which was reason for me to go out and buy it. Plenty of great games to play, Mario Odyssey is a fantastic game if you liked Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine and Mario Galaxy, kinda mixes into a blend of all of them, while having it's own unique elements. If you're into JRPG games, you can't go wrong with Xenoblade 2. I will admit, it is so damn slow to level up at times, like it gets grinder than the Tales series, but it eventually picks up and is probably one of the better JRPG games I have played. Mario Kart is always fun to play, Let's Go Pikachu/Eevee isn't as bad as people had thought, it's not meant to be a mainline game, so it's okay to go and experiment with a new system formula for the game. Complete bias here, Smash Ultimate has seriously been one of the strongest games for the Switch in my opinion. A lot of characters are viable in this game due to the mechanics. There are still low tier and characters that have bad matchups, but this is probably the most "welcoming" Smash in terms of who you want to play, especially on a competitive level. It flows nice and has a lot of techniques that were in Melee, which gives it kinda a mix feel of Smash 4 and Melee and a lot was done right.

Onto the system itself. When docked, it displays to your TV at 1080p and this might seem odd to people, I think it looks best in 1080p and 720p. It does support higher resolution at like 4k, but Zelda: Breathe of the Wild is the only game that has looked good in my opinion, everything else will scale, but you can pick out the low quality images very easily. When it's in handheld mode, it is 720p and it holds up pretty nicely. Battery life is extremely dependent on the game you are running and if you have it in sleep mode or not, but typically I've gotten about 4 hours of out, with the more demanding games about 2 hours on a single charge. Since it's a Type C USB, if you have a battery bank laying around, you can connect it to that in order to charge it. I took my Switch and a battery bank to E3 last year and it saved my life with not being bored waiting in the lines I wanted to for some games and I'll be doing the same again. Switch doesn't overheat, maybe if you're charging and playing for a long time, but I really haven't come across that. Onto the joycons, they're fine for handheld mode, but if you're going to play it docked, I seriously encourage buying a Pro Controller for it. It feels nice, has a very generous weight to it and can be used wireless or wired. Removable SD card storage so, if you plan to buy games virtually, pick one up a decent sized storage and throw it in there.

Overall, one of the better consoles to come out and really glad Nintendo made it a success after the huge flop of the Wii U. Right now, there is really conflicting reports about a new Switch. Nintendo said there is no new Switch to be showed at E3, basically shutting those rumours down, but then Nvidia says they expect a sales increases in console GPUs for the Nintendo Switch, so that could mean multiple things. I would wait a little bit, maybe nearing the end of Summer before buying a Switch, just to be sure that there is nothing new coming out soon.

I would honestly try and hold off at least until end of Summer before buying. Like I said, there is conflicting reports about whether or not a new Switch is coming out and while Nintendo did say there is nothing to show for a new Switch at E3, for all we know, a knew one could pop up in their July/August Direct. If by that time nothing has come up, jump on a new one and if one comes out say December, you could probably sell/trade in your current one to help ease the amount of the new one.
