Cpu I'm going with the ryzen 5 2600 with the wraith stealth cooler. Pairing that with a msi geforce gtx 1060 6gb gdrr5 192 bit. Mobo I'm planning on is the msi performance gaming x470 ryzen 2 am4 ddr4. I bought a pc a couple years ago messed up and bought a prebuilt and got a turd machine. So I have a 500w power supply and 1tb hard drive and the case as well. Was wondering if i could just use the case power and hard drive in this build? I have no idea case size but when I looked up the dimensions for the x470 it just said 1x1x1 in. Please help a brotha out

Well, you need to find out what size the case is and what form factors it supports for motherboards. If it's an OEM case from like HP or Dell, those are sometimes proprietary form factors and just won't work at all with normal mATX/ATX motherboards. If you can't figure out anything about the case, find out the make and model of your current motherboard and then find out what form factor it is. If ot's mATX, then an mATX motherboard will fit in the case. If it's ATX, then any other ATX motherboard will fit.

For PSU, need to know make and model. Wattage is irrelevant if quality is poor. A lot of pre-built use very low quality PSUs. If it's decent, then yeah 500W is enough for an R5+GTX 1060.

I wouldn't be buying a GTX 1060 at this point though. RX 580s are almost universally better value than the GTX 1060, but GTX 1160/1160Ti are supposed to be coming real soon apparently anyway.
