BadWoolf wrote I would recommend this build pcpartpicker.com/list/wZJKTB. What 21 said is true. $420 for GTX 1060 doesn't make sense. I would either go with a RTX 2060 or a 2070 which is in my build. I believe the RTX 2070 is worth it because its only a $100 more and you more performance.

So i should keep the 750W power supply?

IMO the Corsair - RMx (2018) 750 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply is one of best power supplies out there and the price isn't that bad. So yes keep the 750W PSU.

Laugenub wrote So what you are saying is to not get a motherboard at all, if thats even possible?

No, just that $250 is a lot of money for a mobo. You need a motherboard, just not a $250 one.

Laugenub wrote So for the storage i should just not get the samsung ssd, and just get the seagate hdd?

No, the Firecuda is an SSHD. That is the waste of money. Just get a normal 2TB 7200RPM HDD for like $60ish. Keep the Samsung SSD alongside the 2TB HDD.

Laugenub wrote For the powersupply i found a 450 W will this work?

Well, I mean yeah. The CX450M is a significant step down in terms of quality from the RMx750, as well as wattage. I'd probably go for a more middle ground, 550-650W semi or fully modular unit.

With a 1080p 144Hz monitor in Fortnite, you're going to be limited by GPU rather than CPU so I'd probably opt for a Ryzen CPU instead of the 8700k if you're getting something like an RTX 2060 or RTX 2070. If you had something as substantial as an RTX 2080 or Radeon 7, then you'd start to notice difference between Ryzen and Intel but you'd still be well beyond 144FPS at 1080p in Fortnite with either of these GPUs anyway. Some games will have a more noticeable difference where the 8700k is obviously better at 1080p144Hz, so I'd look in to benchmarks for all the games you plan on playing and then make the decision between Ryzen or Intel.

If you're going with the 8700k;

You could even potentially save another $80 and swap the R7 2700 for an R5 2600 tbh. Again, it'll depend on what other games you're playing and what else the system is being used for, but if it's just for playing Fortnite, I'd be going with an R5 2600.
