Seriously though most union trades have great pay. I'm a carpenter in the union, I started out at $24.55/hr and currently I'm 20 years old making $43.92/hr plus benefits. No it's not some hard job to get, the reason our pay is so high is because there is no one doing it and we are severely lacking laborers. Also those rates are not just from the company I work for, that is what every carpentry job has to pay across the whole state.

Welders and fabricators make quite a bit of money. Also if you're a welder and you go into the union as a carpenter welder you make a little over $45/hr if I remember right.

I'm not sure about plumbers but I know electricians make more than carpenters and boiler makers make quite a bit too.

Truckers make a lot of money, the issue is it takes a lot of money to be able to do it (last time I looked into it I had to go through a bunch of classes on top of getting my CDL which was $4k or something like that).

There are also quite a few government jobs out there such as CBP that have good pay but just remember that you might get into times like right now where the government is shut down and therefore you miss out on a check.

I stay away from anything needed a college education but that's because of my experience so I won't bring that up, I just wanted to make it clear that these jobs don't need a college education. Also I live in the greater Seattle area so our wages are pretty high (as mentioned min wage is $15/hr lol). This may be a good starting point to look at but don't expect our wages to be the same as yours if you're in a different area.
even if he moved to Seattle, that would basically be him working a job that is 7.50 an hour because of their cost of living being so much higher than it is with states that have minimum wage of 7.50

Try cooking positions for top restaurants? I hate cooking but maybe you like it? Some restaurants pay above $15 for a cook.

Best option would be mobile phone providers, even if they aren't offering $14 an hour, which they should be. Your commission will make up for that.

a job that pays 3$/h isnt worth it imo, but yeah a job is a job and beggars cant be choosers am i right?

op apply to every place thats hiring even if its like i said above to redacted about a 3$ an hour job, but honestly i wouldnt take a job that low, also how old are you because that also plays a factor, if you keep getting turned down id recommend self employed ie landscaping(which can be pricey if you dont have the equipment, and walkway/drive way snow cleaning which is a booming work as you can charge what ever price you want if its reasonable ie 50$ for walk way and drive way+back yard porch/balcony, other then that just apply everywhere one place would call you back if you got the job, if then apply to smaller work places as smaller people=better work conditions

I already make 11.25/hr but that ain't ass on a stick to live on lol
