We'll need a budget and currency to work with at least.
We'll need to know the make and model of your case. Make and model of PSU would be handy as well.

Would also be useful to know what exactly you use your system for, and what you're looking to achieve with an upgrade.

Still don't know what case you have or what you'll be using the system for/why you're upgrading?

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: AMD - Ryzen 5 2600 3.4 GHz 6-Core Processor ($164.89 @ OutletPC)
Motherboard: ASRock - B450 Pro4 ATX AM4 Motherboard ($76.00 @ Newegg)
Memory: G.Skill - Ripjaws V Series 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 Memory ($104.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Crucial - MX500 500 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($67.89 @ OutletPC)
Total: $413.77

Alternative motherboard;
pcpartpicker.com/product/Hy97YJ/m...0-tomahawk
The B450 Tomahawk is better than the AsRock B450 Pro4 but it's a bit expensive, the B450 Pro4 is really well priced and would do the job, up to you which you'd prefer.

Cheaper SSD options if you'd rather save about $25;

Your PSU is fine, not great though so you could upgrade that if you wanted. You're looking at $60-80 for a decent PSU though.
