Thought I would share my 2005 Toyota Celica T-sport build as it will not have much being done to it in the next few months as I plan to save money in preparation for a supercharger kit install in the next few years.
A little about the car
Model: Toyota Celica T-Sport
Year: 2005 model
Quoted BHP: 192
Engine: 2zzGE (engine co-developed by Yamaha and Lotus and used in the Lotus Exige and Elise, main differences was the mounting of it due to RWD drivetrains and the fact it was supercharged from the factory)
Drive: FWD

I have owned the car for just over a year now and have most of the cosmetic things done already. Few upgrades here and there also. The car was bought completely standard apart from a double din radio. I have changed it to my taste and absolutely love it. The car has a similar setup to Hondas 'V-TEC' as when it hits 6200 RPM (varies from year to year) the ECU sends a signal to the OCV (oil control valve) and forces the camshaft to have a higher profile acting like a DOHC (double overhead cam) and when this happens a surge of power happens. Its an incredible fun car to drive and by todays standards for being a 1.8L N/A car is definately up to standard. Handles brilliantly and is just soo much fun hence why I would like to give it a bit more power to match its looks. Its a car I do not want to ever sell.

Future plans
As I said already I am looking at a supercharger kit which on a stock engine will return numbers of around 300WHP. The kit includes intercooler, intercooler piping, injectors, fuel pump, ECU, blower, longer belt, pulleys, air filter. Secondary air pump delete will also be needed. Relocate the coolant bottle.
In doing so I will need a new clutch, most likely Exedy stage 1 clutch and an upgraded oil pump or oil pump gears
Looking at a full car wrap/respray
Will be going onto coilovers as well
Lower strut bars front and rear
Full polybushing is also in the pipeline
Uprated ARB
Adjustable drop links front and rear
Rear camber arms
Stage 2 camshafts
Low compression built engine
Re-paint engine plastics properly
Polish aluminium rocker cover and intake manifold
Bucket seats
Harnesses
Roll bar for harnesses
Rear seat delete
Aftermarket steering wheel
Gear linkage polybushes

So as you can see the list goes on and there are probably things I have missed out. My end goal is a clean supercharged Celica running safe boost.

The car has moved so quick in a single year and I am always looking for parts and have stuff ongoing but I need to slow down a little bit as its early days. I'm only 20 and currently working in a garage and at college studying car mechanics means I don't earn a lot and have little time so I aim to save this year. I also am planning on taking online courses on EFI tuning, wiring and engine building. Also need to think about buying a house. So I know it won't happen overnight but I am determined. If anyone wants to share their cars please do and let me know how you got it to where it is. Thanks for taking the time to read this!
