As suggested, I'm scrapping my original Idea for a PC build and am looking for advice on what I should actually get.

****PC Build Request Form****

Budget & Currency: ~1200US this can fluctuate if needed.

Peripherals & Monitor: I have the mouse and keyboard, but will need monitors.

Games: PubG, Atlas, Rust, League of Legends, CS go.. several others

Software: No specifics

Aesthetics: Not a priority

Details: This is my first time building a PC, so I am somewhat nervous about the assembly..

When: Ready to order today.

all advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Tried to keep it as close to $1200 as possible, but you mentioned being willing to spend up to $1500 and the pre-built you were looking at was around $1700, so here's another option;

Included a nice aftermarket cooler, added a 2TB HDD, upgraded PSU slightly, and changed case. You could stick with the NZXT H500 if you prefer that case, and both cases are available in White if you'd prefer. The Phanteks Eclipse P400(S) which was used in the pre-built you were looking at is another good choice, though it's currently $80-90 which is a tad much for it IMO, it used to be around $75.

The $50 PSU is fine, so if you don't want to spend the extra $25, you don't need to. You also don't need the aftermarket cooler. The included cooler with the R5 2600 will suffice, especially at stock clock speeds. I'd definitely consider an upgrade if you start overclocking though.

I also upgraded the GPU quite significantly here to an RTX 2070. The RTX 2070 would be a real nice fit for the 1440p 144Hz monitor, though it's understandable if it's more than you'd like to spend. I'm not too sure the 2070 is really worth an extra $200 over the 1070 to be honest, though it would be a noticeable improvement. If you want something a little better than the GTX 1070 but don't want to spend $500 on an RTX 2070, you could get this 1070Ti;

it's a blower style cooler, unfortunately, but it'll still do the job.

*Edit*
You could also spend an extra $100 for the R7 2700 over the R5 2600 if you wanted the 2 extra cores, but it's not really going to benefit you much(or at all) if you're just playing games

Hey guys, I just finished assembling the build above but i'm Already running into issues. I'm using my output as a tv bc the monitor hasn't arrived yet, but i'm not gettin any output at all. Night one the error lights on the motherboard are staying on after powering on the PC. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Are you plugging the display cable into the motherboard? If so, plug it into the GPU.

Does the system power on, just no display?

Which GPU did you end up going with? Is it installed correctly, with the proper cables plugged in? Maybe make sure none of your cables are loose just in case. Make sure RAM is properly seated.
