there are offline mods, eg. ps4 jailbreaks but actual online mods like we have on ps3 and 360, they are a long way away...

the devs who do ps4 stuff dont really care for online modding they mostly care for games for free type stuff which i know is bad but most devs just dont want ps4 to die like these other consoles did tbh just waiting on some russisan dude who dont give a shit to drop a kex for the latest plus the reason why the private method not being released cuz they wanna see how many more future updates it works on so if they release it sony could patch it and they need to find a whole new exploit

That I know of it isnt possible yet and I dont think it will be anytime soon, at least for xbox. Were looking at another couple years before its probably possible.

Don't think anyone has found a way to inject yet. FileExplorer and Debugger are working, and people are starting to rip games but that's the only exploits I've heard of so far.
Xbox has been rumored to have a NAND dump the size of most hard drives so I don't think the old school methods will ever be viable. Thing is locked up like a super max prison it's insane. But they spent hundereds of thousands of dollars hiring people who had previously exploited the 360 (former team Xecuter members, Mafia5k guys) to make SURE it wasn't going to be modded any time soon. The Xbox exploit, if it ever comes, will probably be an app exploit like they were using for emulators or through the Edge app which has been confirmed as an access point to quite a few things Microsoft wouldn't like you to have.

Personal opinion, don't ever expect script modding like we saw on 360 and PS3. If next gen modding comes it will be RTE/FTP if I had to guess.
