The official Twitter account for the Kingdom Hearts game series posted a message from game director Tetsuya Nomura on Sunday regarding game leaks for Kingdom Hearts III that have surfaced in the last few days. The notice reads:

The message also confirms what Nomura hinted at Tokyo Game Show 2018, that he was considering releasing the game's secret movie after the game launched. Nomura stated in September that his staff were thinking about a different method of delivering the secret movie in order to be fair and to avoid potential spoilers for players.

Square Enix additionally began streaming a commercial on Sunday for Kingdom Hearts III.

Kingdom Hearts III wrapped development last month. Square Enix will release the game on January 25 in Japan for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and on January 29 in the West. Confirmed worlds include Big Hero 6, Toy Story, Tangled, Monsters, Inc., Pirates of the Caribbean, Frozen, and the returning Olympus Coliseum and Winnie-the-Pooh worlds.

Music producer Skrillex, singer Hikaru Utada, and record producer Poo Bear are collaborating on the opening theme song "Face My Fears." Utada is also performing the ending theme song "Don't Think Twice" (the song with Japanese lyrics is titled "Chikai" or "Oath"). The game's English audio will also feature returning cast members reprising their roles from various Disney films.

The franchise is getting a Kingdom Hearts VR Experience game that will launch in two parts on December 25 and January 18. Additionally, Sony will release a VR experience for two songs by Hikaru Utada in two parts on December 25 and early 2019. The experience will be from Utada's Japanese tour that took place earlier this year.
