Hello, I got "scammed" back in August 15th for $125. Wanted to see if anybody knew if a chargeback was possible at this moment for that amount if I went through my bank.

I have the date, transaction ID from PayPal and all the necessary information from the PayPal site.

Any help will be met with +75 rep and I'll kiss you too.

Last time I got scammed (twice in a row) I did 2 things, saying the truth which was that I got scammed. Nothing happened, they got away with it. Second time I got scammed I tried a different way. Contacted my bank saying I sent $250 rather than $25. I am very aware that it's not the lunp sum but it's most of it. They issued a chargeback to them (they must've been pretty stupid to not have of close there PayPal after withdrawing funds) in return I got most of it back. Give it a shot.

Gonna give that a shot. Hopefully they won't say that the transaction happened that long ago and ask me how I never noticed; I'll just say it was a day before getting paid and never realized that I had sent so much money or some dumb excuse like that. Thank you.

Normally depends on the situation you got scammed, like if you brought digital goods i know its a real pain as paypal turn around and say it cant really be proved either way. If it was for an item you have a tracking number for etc and returns are accepted then you can just return then item, prove you done so with tracking info and you will be refunded, as the seller wont have a leg to stand on. Paypal with you 100+ something days to do it i believe.

if that isnt an option then i have heard of people going down the route of 'unauthorised payment' etc, as in a child or someone in the household had access and made a mistake, someone actually charged back on me after i sold them fifa coins via ebay, and they used that excuss and got away with the item and a refund. There are ways around it, just got to be a little sly as paypal are little **** when it comes to stuff like this
