Guys:

I haven't done this for while so bear with me. I'm trying to upgrade my desktop to a high-end workstation. I do development and testing so I'll be running multiple VMs on this box. I chose the following CPU:

Intel Core i9-7900X Processor
Socket LGA 2066
Compatibale with Intel X299 Chipset

But I'm really behind on the motherboard technology. So can someone suggest a mobo for it?

I have the following requirement:

- I will need multiple internal SATA ports. I currently have 6 SSD drives that I'm planning to bring to this new system, and hopefully get another one. So I'll need to be able to plug them in internally. So the more SATA ports it provides the better.

- I now have a 4 monitor setup which I'd like to keep. (But I guess that will be resolved by a video card, right?)

Anyway, any suggestions for a mobo would be appreciated.

I would recommend the MSI X299. I love my MSI board. The only issue you'll probably run into is SATA ports. 6 drives is a lot of drives and you may end up needing to buy SATA splitters regardless of the board you choose.
