Hey! So those who know me or know of me, know Karate is a fairly large part of my life! Well, I've finally achieved my black belt (sho dan) in a mix of goju ryu and shotokan karate.
We went away for a gasshuku or training weekend, so my black belt was over three days with the final grading on the Sunday.
In my long short time in karate I have won national competitions, came third in the European Championships and many more local tournaments, I am a Sensei with our club and teach two busy classes.
I've been doing karate for around 6 almost 7 years, have been an instructor for almost 2 years. Before that I did kuk sool and wing chung, before that I did judo. I still also train BJJ and Judo when I get time! As I currently train 4 times a week.
I got set back a while ago due to having surgery on my shoulder to reattach the ligaments in my shoulder back on after I dislocated it, only took them three years to sort it out!
Now to train harder and get my second dan!

I also remember the last time a milestone was created about the last one you achieved. That was way over a year ago. Congrats on this long ass achievement Kyle. Do you feel hard as hell? Bigger guns? all that other shiz?

Congrats man, nice to see a real life accomplishment on here. I did karate as a kid and only made it to Green belt.
