Many years later we see Naruto is 32 has married his child hood sweetheart Hinata. He has a son named Boruto who is 12 and a daughter Himawari who is about 8. Naruto is now Hokage.
The life of the shinobi has changed and now the foccus is on Boruto Uzumaki, son of the known Seventh Hokage Naruto Uzumaki, Boruto starts with him being enrolled in the Ninja Academy to learn the ways of the ninja.

The first couple eps do kind of get boring and make you think it might be pointless but there are ones that rope you in. There are many funny parts, great characters who you side with. And you get to see your old favorite ninja characters grow up with their kids.
Example when Sarada Uchiha finally gets to meet her dad Sauske and awaken her sharingun.

Once the arch goes to tie in with Boruto Naruto the movie. The couple eps are an amazing fight where you will be glued to your screen. How Boruto, Sauske and Naurto and all the characters come together make the series go on great. Don't just give up on Boruto even if some of eps are dumb.

Boruto defeated a god and received the curse mark everyone wants to know whats leading up to adult Boruto.

Even on Crucnhyroll Boruto is on the number 5 spot.
"Top 5 anime for TV Tokyo in terms of sales and profit for the year ending March 2018 (March 2017 to March 2018).
Boruto is in the top 5 despite not having dvd sales outside japan. And it also beat series that have higher ratings."
What makes the series more interesting is Boruto does not want to become Hokage he wants to be a ninja in the shadows like Sauske. Quote by Boruto To Sarada Uchiha
"When you become Hokage, I'll be your right hand man. I'll guard you well.. To me, the Hokage is just a pth. Just beacuse my grandpa and dad are Hokage, dosen't mean that I have to walk the same path. Sarada.... What I'm really aiming for is to become a shinobi like your dad. I'm going to follow my own ninja way."

I love Boruto can relate to him a lot of ways. Love his character deisgn.

Boruto has gotten a lot better since it's caught up to the movie but still no where as near as good as Naruto was when at a similar point in the plot. The current Mitsuki arc seems to be great. If they take their time and make it a Sasuke 2.0 situation it would definitely improve the anime but I have a feeling they're about ready to wrap it up like the Kagura / 7 swordsman of the mist arc.
Either way I'm just happy for more "Naruto world" content, but really it could be so much better than it currently is.
