Alright don't lynch me, and I'll try and make this dissertation quick. I know most people right here can't stand criticism of this game. I'm a new player to Tera who's played everything from WoW for many years to GW2, ESO, Skyrim, Rift, DAOC, you name it. I primarily need to hear from other healers due to the fact this can be extremely a lot a healing encounter point.

First off, I had loads of entertaining playing Tera. I started the final week and got to 65 in a couple days, then worked my way up to Lilith's and ran that 4 times to completion. I have an excellent feel for what's terrific and what's janky. No, I usually do not know everything in regards to the game, but I believe new player really feel is essential for the reason that the game requires new players on a brand new console release.

Oh, also gender locking is **** dumb.

Some players' views: The terrific: - * You really feel actiony as a priest operating around literally positioning almost everything "just so" or perhaps to lock on for any focus heal * It truly is rewarding to really feel so spry and deft flipping about cleansing, circle healing, bursting or performing whatever is most proper - large space for ability to play a part * Priest heals feel like they've suitable throughput - the class feels balanced to the activity at hand

The terrible: - * Lock on isn't sensitive enough. The tiny woo-woo I have to accomplish using the cursor and waiting half a second requires the immersion out on the game * Lock on within a chaotic boss area with huge bosses is terrible * Lock on feels like a mechanic that was shoehorned into this game (it was in 2011) since the creators realized specific roles would suffer from the FPS style targeting. This [7 years later still] janky, bastardized hybrid targeting is what they came up with

Healing is usually a reactionary plus a predicting function. After you cannot reliably get an instant heal on a target within a second or two as a result of shitty us or ping, it is a no from me. I'm too spoiled by greater titles now. I'll continue to give Tera some time since I think it may be due to the port to console, but I see plenty of this very same complaining and unacceptable workarounds posted on other forums.

Oh, also gender locking is **** dumb.

Some players' opinions: Lockons have an extra ping tax over normal abilities simply because soon after casting it the game asks the server should you can lock on to a target just before letting you paint them. Multiply this by four targets, then add the usual talent delay to firing off the concentrate heal and then we rapidly comprehend why you find locations so sluggish.

This concern has been identified for many years, it really is just the way the game is made and also the developers in Korea have shown they're unwilling to adjust it at all for now.

Lock on is not sensitive enough. The little woo-woo I have to do with the cursor and waiting for half a second takes the immersion out of the game.

This just signifies you may have negative ping.

I can only assume the [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] on console are fairly terrible. This does not apply to the Computer version. If you can't accurately aim your lock-on heal on Pc you happen to be just a potato player.
