Just hopped online and I keep getting communications with the xbox live servers have been interrupted and can't get into a game or anything without receiving an error
Any suggestions?

Do you have XBL Gold?
Are you able to play on any other games like MW3 or whatever
Do you get into the lobby first or is it as soon as you try to connect to the servers etc.

There down no one I know can get on mw2 servers

It won't be a DDoS attack, servers are to old for anyone to care
If the rumors are true about a remaster or backwards compatibility there's a possibly its some kind of testing or mitigation of data

Could be or it could just be a random thing unrelated, who knows...
I would like to hope the BC or remastered version is close enough that they would need to start testing the servers but i doubt honestly they would need to, its a popular game but none of the other have had this as far as i know and i bet they were more populated at its peak than would be if it came back.

They're being updated for an upcoming backwards compatibility release on or before Tuesday 10th July.
Most likely will be Tuesday however due to weekend. You heard it here first.
I will also happily put $25 per person in to an Escrow if anyone wants to gamble and say otherwise.
