I have nowhere else to vent about this so I'll just write it here; you guys don't have to reply at all.
It's what I get for not using a middleman (this was NOT on site, this doesn't pertain to TTG). I recently bought a Fortnite account from another site, they offer middleman services and for some damn reason (probably me in a thirsty hurry to have an account with lots of skins) didn't use the service at all.
Now, the guy was "kind" enough to help me "secure" the account supposedly and I used the account for several days before the bastard pulled the account (I had OGE access and everything, he changed passwords and everything) and I lost $125 + $50 of my PayPal currency.
If you guys have the chance to use a middleman and have a secure and safe transaction, do it. Avoid my mistake and don't purchase in a hurry.

What would a middleman have done?
You got the account details, which were correct and he got the money.
A middleman would take the account details, make sure they're correct, then take your money. He would give the money to the seller and the account to the buyer.
No offence but if you buy an account, make sure you change the email address and all passwords immediately, this was your fault and a middleman would have done nothing to prevent it

Not yet, people have been saying it's happening soon. This is why you shouldn't buy a Fortnite account from some random dude unless you're aboslutely sure it's not getting pulled.

sucks that you got scammed, usually if I am trading I do a background check or at least find anything i can on the alias before I do a trade / purchase

Until that's fixed then buying a fortnite account isn't safe
The original email address owner will know when the email was made, previous passwords etc and can easily recover the account and change the passwords overnight
Unfortunate that this happened to OP, is there no way to refund the money and say you were scammed? Or contact the company that sold you the account? If it was through paypal then it's fairly easy to dispute and just get your money back
