Hello, so I have a screw in my tire and it's a decent size.. I'm not really loosing much air at all right now so I think it's in there pretty good.. I'd like to get it patched due to the tires only having about 8-11k miles on them.. has anyone gotten tires patched or fixed or whatever at a tire shop or repair shop? How'd that go? Is the tire still good? Or did it at least last until you needed new tires?

Tire patches work good, we had one in my dads Escalade, just put one in my brothers Mustang, and our work truck that goes cross country. I haven't had any issue with patches and they have lasted the life of the tire for me.

The only issue I ran into one time was they left a lot of the patch in the tire (it's just a long piece of rubber), and the tire shop had a difficult time balancing it. They ended up just snipping some of the patch off from the inside and it balanced out just fine.

Never heard anything wrong with patches. I use the plug kit that they sell at harbor freight or Wal-Mart all the time in trailer tires and truck tires and I never had a problem with it. Theirs one in my truck tire that been their for 25-30,000 miles.

The one time I had a bad nail I got it replaced immediately, but that's because I had to drive 500 miles

If you find any small tire shops nearby, they will do fix-a-flat for like $20. Patched and no problems. Just call and make sure they offer it. Takes 10 minutes
