There is a new limited time game mode added to fortnite in which you enter a battle royal solo only, and fight your way to victory scoring points each match you play. If you play all 50 you receive a limited spray for partaking in the event. aswell as prizes if you earn enough score.

SUMMARY:

In the Solo Showdown LTM you will be placed against other self-selected competitors making this the ultimate test of survival. Placements in this limited time mode will be specially tracked and determine rewards you receive at the end of the event. The top 100 players will be awarded.

Your first 50 matches in the Solo Showdown LTM will be counted towards your Score. You must play 50 Solo Showdown LTM matches to be eligible for a prize.

1st Place: 50,000 V-bucks

2nd - 4th Place: 25,000 V-Bucks

5th - 50th Place: 13,500 V-bucks

51st - 100th Place: 7,500 V-bucks

How long th event runs for

The Contest is open, and the Solo Showdown LTM will be available, from May 17th, 2018 at 10:00AM EST to May 21st, 2018 10:00AM EST.

Its my understanding its all based on your placment in the match and nothing to do with kills (if there is a tie break on the leaderboard it then goes to kills)

I doubt I will get anywhere near the top 100 players but I hope to get some decent score while hiding in my safe space
