Don't be scared, most routers now a days use dynamic IP addresses. If they DDoS it's a simple restart the router job. If you have a static IP however, I guess you've just got to wait for them to stop. Personally, I just laugh them off. I have 2 routers, both dynamic IPs. If one goes down, instantly hop on the other one to confuse them

A dox and a ddos are 2 very different things.

OP well this seems to be an urgent issue so I would recommend contacting all necessary authorities. However I will tell you if you live in the US ISP doxing which is the method a lot of people use is no longer possible because it has gotten so popular that ISP's have started cracking down on it. Another thing you may want to consider for future reference because it seems from what you said they are already doing it but check your vulnerabilities and fix them like if you have social media with sensitive info then I would remove it or make it private and only let people you trust see it which in this world is pretty much no one.

Things you want to hide are as follows;
-Full Legal name
-Phone number (home or cell) yours or families.
-Address obviously!
-And any other important sensitive info thats just common sense.

What authorities should I contact? Who do I go to? Who do I call?

Well it varies where did they threaten to dox you? I would contact the owner of the program or whatever it is that they contacted you on to make this threat for example if it was xbox live then I would contact Microsoft and report them and then I am sure Microsoft will take all necessary action to the authorities and you would have to help them and provide evidence. It's going to be a chain of events and in some cases people with the knowledge to dox are usually smart enough to hide themselves from being traced but no one is necessarily untraceable these days. But good luck man.

Bro don't even worry about it, what are they gonna do with your private details anyway lol

The amount of times someone has threatened to dox me and nothing has come of it, it's just a scare tactic, just tell them to get back to their homework, block them and move on

All they'll do is tell you your full name and that's pretty much it bro, and like someone else said "what can they do with your details"
