I recently got into playing gw2 and i was wondering why when my settings are on high / ultra and i dont have my laptop charger plugged in i only get 12 to 14 fps but when i do i get 40 to 60 fps? My laptop can handle this game btw. Just wondering since i noticed this yesterday.

This used to happen to me all the time before I got a PC. Maybe the game is just power demanding more than you realize and its trying to draw more out of your laptop which is cutting the fps. You could always search on specialized laptop tech sites!

This happens with most games on most laptops. When the power chord is not plugged in and it runs off the battery, everything slows down.

I don't think there is much you can do about it. I never game on a laptop that isn't plugged in unless I have no choice.
