Darling in the Franxx: My Thoughts

I recently finished episode 14 a couple days ago. I have to say that I'm really enjoying the show so far. At first, when I started watching it, around episode 3, I stopped watching it. I thought it was too predictable, and thought some things didn't make sense lol. I'm so glad I picked it up again; it get's so good. I really like the story line. Everything from what's going on with humanity, to how the Franxx work is interesting to me. Some of the characters are kind of boring, but I can look past that. I really like the premise. It's my favorite part. There's such a bleak/eerie feeling about humanity. I really felt this when they got to go into the city for the first time. In addition to the premise, I really like 02's character.

I think I am most excited to learn more about society and what is going on with humanity. Like why did they abandon the outside world? I think I can kind of predict it. I'm guessing it has something to do with humanity screwing up somewhere or creating the Klaxosaurs or something. I'm not sure, but I can't wait to find out.

Above all, I can't wait to find out what happens with Hiro and 02 (sorry Ichigo). Can't wait for more eps!

I give it an 8/10 so far. Normally I'm not super big on mechas (besides maybe code geass).

I plan on updating this as the season continues.

EP. 15 UPDATE: So, first off, wow, I really enjoyed this episode. It was great. I was so happy that Hiro manned up and went for 02. It was so somewhat of an emotional rollercoaster these last couple episodes. I'm glad that he regained his memories, and 02 is understanding what she did to him. Now that 02 and Hiro are back together, the show is shifting to what the old geezers are up to, and what that giant freakin' hand coming out of the ground are. I think it has has something to do with the parasytes that we never see again, as Saki talked to me about. So in addition to finding about more about the mysteries of humanity and why society is so messed up, I want to see more of Hiro and 02's relationship develop.

EDIT: How do you guys feel about the old geezers? Definitely not up to anything good imo.
