****PC Build Request Form****

Budget & Currency: $1,000 USD

Peripherals & Monitor: These are not included in the budget. I'll be running dual Acer 24in 144Hz monitors.

Games: Fortnite, GTA 4 & 5, PUBG, Latest CODs, Rocket League, Minecraft, Battlefield 1, Far Cry 5, Left 4 Dead 2, Borderlands 2

Software: Google Chrome, Discord, Spotify, Dropbox, Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom

Aesthetics: I want a black case, and a window on the side to view the build. White interior if possible, RGB/LEDs I would really enjoy. I don't want a tiny case, and I don't want a huge one. I'll be setting the PC on my desk.

Rebates/Promos: No rebates or promos included in the price please

Details: I need Windows 10. I would like 250gb SSD and a 2T HDD. I cannot go without 16gb of RAM. I want to connect via Ethernet to the internet.

When: This week!

I know this is alot to ask for, I can go +-$100 if need be. Thanks <3

You're going to want to buy a used GPU, or run integrated graphics for now and deal with shitty performance in the games that you can even play until GPU prices come down. GTX 970 should set you back around $200, +50 or so for a GTX 980, and a used GTX 980Ti should set you back roughly $350. GTX 970/980 will perform similarly to a GTX 1060, and 980Ti matches GTX 1070. 980Ti would be great for 1080p 144Hz and you should be able to get the system with a 980Ti under $1100, but if you want/have to stay under $1k, a GTX 970/980 would be plenty fine. You can save about $50 on te list I suggested by dropping the aftermarket cooler, dropping the i5-8500 to an i5-8400, and you could maybe save $20-30 on mobo and storage, or up to $75ish if you drop to a smaller SSD.

Wow! This is amazing, thank you. I'll look into buying a used 980!

No sweat! If you're happy buying used GPUs, I'd keep my eyes on this subreddit;

Maybe make a post with your budget and see if you get any cards offered.

Just checking quickly, I've seen a 980 for $250, a couple of 980Ti's for $330-350, a 6GB 1060 for $275 and a couple of 970s under $200. Since you can grab a used 1060 for $275, and find 970s all day long for under $200, I really wouldn't want to pay more than $230 for a GTX 980, maybe $240 at a push.
