I want to build a computer that is able to run AAA games flawlessly on 4K with a VR headset. I am willing to spend $2500(CAD) maximum, but if it's doable I would rather keep the price between $1500-$2000. I don't know much about computers so I'm not sure whether my request is manageable with the price I want. My buddy told me that if I want to play games on 4k with VR, I'm going to need expensive components. So please let me know if I need to increase my price range.

For peripherals I would only need a 4K VR headset included in the list. For games, as I stated earlier I want to be able to run AAA games on 4K without any problems. My main focus is to play Skyrim VR, but I am also going to play games like Farcry 5 and Shadow of War. Regarding software I only need the basics; I'm more focused on gaming.

I don't need a fancy case just keep it simple, if anything I would want the outside color to be midnight blue. When creating the list keep the original price of the components, I will not be using promos. I plan on getting this in the next few days; I just need to know what to buy.

This build should easily crush VR in 4K and you shouldn't also have an issue with gaming in general with it. I tried my best to keep it under your $2500 price tag and I had to put a 1080 instead of a 1080 TI on there which lessens your performance a little, but drops the price almost $500, so if you have the money to splurge later on you could upgrade the graphics card. I also went with an i5 to save some money, but unless you plan on doing editing or something like that down the rode an i7 might not be worth looking into. Hopefully this build is what you were looking for though. Yeet.

EDIT: Just because I thought this was nuts, this is the same build but in USD instead of CAD and the price difference is nuts.

Resolution isn't everything when it comes to a VR HMD. You're pretty much going to want to stick with an Oculus Rift IMO, which will set you back $500CAD alone.

You mentioned playing games at 4k, not sure if that means you need a monitor.

Right around $2500CAD when you add a Rift. +$200 for HTC Vive over the Rift. Assuming you won't be overclocking the CPU. Assuming you needed a monitor within budget as well.
