Conor McGregor will be stripped of the UFC lightweight title, according to the promotion's president Dana White.

McGregor, 21-3, has yet to defend the 155lbs title, which he claimed 15 months ago in the main event of UFC 205.

Tony Ferguson vs Khabib Nurmagomedov will be the next fight for that title. Not the interim, the overall title.

Conor understands why he is being stripped.

"Conor understands (about being stripped of the title). Listen, Conor made a lot of money and he wants some time off, but the division has to go on and the business has to go on," White said.

I would of thought he would go back in to defend it. Not just let it go like that. I mean if he really wanted it I think he could get it again. He has stated that he is looking for another fight soon. I do know that.

ehh to be honest. I cannot see another fight like that happening anytime soon. If anything it would be a fight in the octagon and the pay out wouldnt be nearly as much as it was from boxing. But floyd would be the dumbest fighter in history to step into the octagon. It will never happen.

I want him to win the title.

Has for Conor, pretty sure we are gonna see a Mayweather vs. McGregor re-match in UFC.

So many rumors.

Conor let fame get to his head, he used to admire the sport but now he won't go in the ring for less then 100mill.
