Looking for a basic laptop for my parents. My dad mainly just uses it to browse the web, watch videos, use Google earth, print stuff for work etc
Nothing too fancy, bigger screen size would be preferred

Don't want to go over $500. Cheaper = better, we don't have tons of funds right now.

I'd say go for an Aspire E if you want to go as cheap as possible while still getting something that isn't total hot garbage ( [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] )

$350 price point, which goes along with your cheaper = better need. If you want to swing the full $500 there's a ASUS Vivobook going for ~$500 after $100 discount which will also get you at 1920x1080 screen as well as a quad core i5 [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] . If down the line you want a little more speed you can always throw an SSD in it.
