So ive just got a laptop a few weeks ago, and was on Windows 8, and literally every time i turn it on i would get Windows updating... What exactly is updating, because every time it comes on nothing has changed? So i thought to upgrade it to Windows 10, and hopefully it wont be as bad, i did this last night keeping in mind and as soon as i installed it again Windows update starts. Just now again Windows updating i mean omfg are you serious. Its wired asf because on my PC desktop i have Windows 10, and i dont get half as many updates and on the laptop, and i doing something wrong or what? This is one of the reasons i been using a Macbook for the last 5 years, ill put up the lid and its good to go, on Windows laptop, i put up the lid and its update time again. WHAT UPDATES ?

I have never had a problem with Windows laptops. My whole family has one and never any issues. I have never really used a macbook so I cant really compare either.

I've had a MSI GS60 Ghost Pro 4k Gold Edition (S/O the boy) for some time now and I haven't had any major issues or annoyances with Windows updates yet.

Never had any issues with windows updates before on my laptops or desktops. Have you gone into the updates and seen what they are for before you get mad at it?

Could be trying to update and not fully updating because of shut down or some other issue.

Because it's windows.

All jokes aside, have you turned off auto-updates?

I quit using Windows and switched to Linux.

So much better then Windows and it's free with a lot of versions to Download.

Never had any issues, but my laptop is nearly $1.3k. Well there was one issue, it was either the battery fell out of the plugin inside or the power supply broke. But I have a warranty so I sent it in and got a free repair.
