Mei wrote i asked ttg about it and i got it myself ill list everything good and bad from my 10 hours of experience.

The learning curve on the weapons is pretty average, some are weird and clunky, but once you get used to them, its fine. i prefer the fast weapons, but you can't block with them which is their downfall, and that's a pretty big disadvantage.

the missions are pretty long which is good, i think doing it solo it took me around 25-35 mins per mission so it keeps you busy if you like games that are long.

the crafting system is easy to learn, i thought once i got into this game it was gonna throw me into all this advanced crafting and weapon making, its pretty straight forward, get this, make that and your done.

You can only get so far by yourself. i had to get my level 14 friend (i was level 4 at the time) to finish this campaign mission, we still had some trouble and it took us around 20 mins. so i don't exactly think getting carried is out of the question but it helps a ton when you get people.

So long story short, its a great game for solo at the start, but it forces you to play with people which i think is okay, i just didn't have internet so i had to wait before i could advance, or id have to backtrack and get my gear levels up before i advanced.

Were you stuck on hunting the Anjanath? I think it's supposed to be so difficult so that you use your SOS flare cuz if you notice that's the first mission it lets you use it on. I think it's just to get the understanding of the flare. After the Anjanath I have been playing solo, upgrading and upgrading and farming like a mofo

Yep, thats what i was stuck on, that annoying t-rex that smashes into you and stands on you until you die, i tried switching weapons, upgrading armor, doing sidequests and came back 3 hours later just to get handled again, i had to wait until my internet came back on.

Yea I'm almost positive that it makes you get help to beat him. I used a long sword at first but the Great Sword is the weapon I killed him with and have been using ever since

i haven't used a lot of the weapons for long term, i was using the double sided pike (forget the name, it shoots a bug out of once side and you can pole vault) since it was the only weapon i was lucky enough to get T2 materials for. i gotta play some more, just all my friends are really endgame so i really don't want to run with them.

End game? Is the game that short?

ive just been in parties with people playing, i just hear you redo the missions you already done, just at harder difficulties to upgrade your gear, sort of like Trove, if you ever played that before, like every world is the same you just fight them at higher difficulties.

Hope they make big DLC's if you can finish that quick. If they do that then this game will consume all my time lol

I can see it happening, its a good game, i just feel like all dlc's will be sort of like the game, starts off difficult then just gets insane and your forced to team up.
