Really good, honestly. Lot's of funny references/hat tips to other games/shows/movies. Really hoping it gets a second season, seems like it might. 9/10

Oh, and it's done by MADHouse, so that's always awesome.

Being a gamer myself, although not as intense, I felt as though NGNL was a great anime. Nice little plot and loved how smart Sora was. (I think that was his name)

NGNL is a great anime, I might have to rewatch it for the 3rd time after reading your post.

I really, really enjoyed watching No Game No Life.

I loved its over-the-top moments and creativity, especially in this particular scene (spoiler?)--

Well, I can't find the scene itself on YouTube, but it's the Sora & Shiro vs Jibril battle in EP6. That shit got me hyped.

The characters, OST, visuals, etc. were all great, too.

As for a S2, I'm pretty sure there hasn't been any announcements yet, but there is a NGNL movie called No Game No Life: Zero that should be coming out on BD soon, considering it was shown last year in theaters. NGNL: Zero is a prequel to the original, though. Regardless, it's still worth a watch, imo.

Six thousand years before Sora and Shiro were even a blink in the history of Disboard, war consumed the land, tearing apart the heavens, destroying stars, and even threatening to wipe out the human race. Amid the chaos and destruction, a young man named Riku leads humanity toward the tomorrow his heart believed in. One day, in the ruins of an Elf city, he meets Shuvi, a female exiled "Ex-machina" android who asks him to teach her what it means to have a human heart.
