I run 3 monitors at all times, and they are currently all 60hz monitors. My friend told me if I only upgrade 1 of those monitors that my computer will still only run it at 60hz. Is this true or false? Can i run 3 monitors 2 @60hz and 1 @144hz for gaming?

Windows can set the refresh rate of each monitor individually dependent on the monitors capability., So yes, it should work just fine.

Yes it would work fine, what the other monitors are on shouldn't affect the 144hz monitor
