After losing 8 of their past 10 games, one could really lean back and think: "There's no way this Cleveland team could win a 'ship this year, especially with the Boston Celtics playing extremely well." I personally think that they're not Championship caliber this year but who knows? It seems Lebron always finds a way to push his team forward. Obviously, the regular season and the playoffs are two completely different atmospheres but let's take into account that the Cavs are playing terribly, seemingly having no chemistry whatsoever.

According to Bleacher Report, multiple prominent Cavs players (who have obviously decided to stay anonymous with their comments) have stated that they are doubtful that the Cavs can resolve their issues and win an NBA championship this year. They state that patience may not be enough to get the Cavs back to being title contenders. The Cavs are currently behind the Celtics by 7.5 games and behind the Raptors by 4 games, the Cavs record being 26-17; even though over .500, extremely sub-par for a team that has shown to be dominant in the East for the past 2-3 years.

Isaiah Thomas' return hasn't provided the Cavs with a big a boost as they expected, as he is averaging just 13.6 points and 3.4 assists per game in five contests. Aside from Lebron's 27.6 points, 8.8 assists and 8.0 rebounds per game and Kevin Love's near double-double average of 19.2 points and 9.6 rebounds, there has been a lack of standout performers on Cleveland's roster in the wake of the Kyrie Irving trade. The Cavs have reached the Playoffs in three straight seasons, losing to the Warriors twice and beating them once in the 2015-2016 season.

The Cavs are 29th in defensive efficiency this season. No team in the bottom two of the stat have ever reached the Playoffs. Among the issues Cavs players see with the team are "an aging roster, defensively challenged personnel and a glut of redundant role players".

The Cavaliers aren't in danger of missing the Playoffs, but they are closer to the 9th seed (4.5 games up) than they are the top seed, which suggests a continuation of their slide could make for some uncomfortable moments.

What do you all think? Will the Cavs reach the Playoffs and burn out before reaching the Finals for the first time in three years? Or will Lebron and the Cavs find their way back into the Finals for a fourth straight year?

Also, the Cavs front office are keeping the pick from the Nets due to the uncertainty that Lebron will come back to the team next year. If they lose in the Playoffs, will this be Lebron's last year as a Cavalier?

Let me know what you think.

I think the Cavs are losing hope. Every since Kyrie left they haven't been a team.

They will be back and better then ever in the future.

As of right now they aren't playing as an Championship team.

Nah. If they don't win a championship this year, they won't for a while. Not with LeBron most likely leaving. They just aren't the same without Kyrie, really.

I see them as contenders. They have a pretty stacked lineup, I think they just need better coaching.

Well, they were playing "bad" for team of their caliber even when Kyrie Irving was on the team, during a certain part of the 2016-2017 season. As with all new acquisitions and moves, they've got to establish their chemistry.

But seeing as how we're getting closer and closer to the All-Star Break, they'd better start acquiring some chemistry if they pretend to beat the Celtics who seem to have clicked on all cylinders.

They still have a good chance at making it to the finals. The playoffs is a whole different game honestly, Lebron becomes 10x better when he is in playoff mode.

I guess we will see but it'd be nice to see a different team in the finals for once.
