Hey everyone so I'm new to pc gaming builds and I have started building a pc using my old desktop and upgrading the general idea is that as it stands my pc can run games such as overwatch fine on high settings with some frame rate dropping I play on low to ensure a steady fps I'm not sure where to invest from now

The case is the zoostorm quest case, it's a smaller tower / micro tower size I believe

Processor - AMD a8-7650k 10 compute cores 4c+6G 3300 mhz 2 cores 4 logical processors

Graphics Processor - Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050ti 4gb

Power supply 650 watt EVGA 650 GQ

Motherboard - A68hm - plus

I also have 8gb of ddr3 ram which I'm looking to upgrade as it isn't a very well known headed one anyway and I have 2 slots so want 16gb

I feel like my motherboard is holding me back but is there a processor that I could use to not have to replace the whole motherboard? Or am I just going to be pumping money into something which in the long run would be better to replace?

Thank you

Need a budget and currency to work with to be able to recommend anything. Need to know what exactly you use the system for. Also need to know the rest of your specs, including make and model of both the case and PSU.

You'll definitely want a CPU upgrade, and you'll need a new mobo, as well as most likely new RAM for a logical CPU upgrade. You'll also want to add an SSD if you don't already have one.

First of all thank you for replying, I really appreciate it!

So I have updated my above message with the info you said I should have, I do not have an ssd and I agree on the cpu, I'm from the UK so GBP is what I use, budget wise I'm willing to save up however I'm not looking for a top of the range pc yet, just something to run most games with no fps issues and medium to high graphics dependant on game, however I would rather go foe the better option than a cheaper not as good option

£300 overall would probably be enough to get but don't mind going over the budget if it will be a much better option
