Just got a new laptop with windows 8.1 installed but it came with windows 10. I don't like windows 10 so i won't be upgrading. Anyways, is it safe to uninstall all the Hewlett Packard programs from the programs list on the pc without causing issues inside windows itself? The list of programs are:

1. HP Documentation
2. HP Registration Service
3. HP SimplePass
4. HP System Event Utility
5. HP Utility Center
6. HP Wireless Button Driver

I have also already removed all the CyberLink garbage from my laptop considering I will never use their programs.

Thanks TTG!

Haha, welcome to my world of uninstalling absolute shite!

I would honestly do a complete rebuild of the laptop, that's just personal perference, from there, Windows updates will download the drivers and apps you need.

But yes it's completely safe to uninstall the programs.

lol. me too man. I just bought this laptop a week ago and it's not like some insane gaming laptop. It hangs at the disk running at 99% constantly. And most of the programs on the disk list running are the bloatware crap. I just read that removing the cyberlink stuff could cause issues though?? I will probably look further into the HP stuff. But thanks.

Use the IO uninstaller. Works just fine.

Just do a complete rebuild mate, I've never heard of issues caused by preinstalled bloatware, vendors wouldn't allow it haha.

Get yourself a Windows installation disk and bosh that in the laptop, jobs a goodin'.

As mentioned Windows updates will do the rest from there. Don't worry about a product key as they're stored within the BIOS nowadays.

never mind. i deleted the cyberlink stuff and the hp documentation but i also disabled "SuperFetch" and my disk is now throttling at a nice 50% instead of 100% only opening a chrome window.

well i fixed it now. Superfetch ended up taking 42MB of the cpu. now it's disabled and running between 20%-80% smoothly. Now i can finally use this laptop. thanks for the program though. ill look into it.
