Jtag, problem, please help

Havent launched xexmenu in a while, been just playing skate 3 etc. When i launched it today, i found out that the xexmenu was gone.
When i went to system settings to figure out where it was, i found out that my system hdd was unformatted. The jtag is on an 2.0.1 (16537) update.
The xexmenu is on my ext hdd (as well?) but wont show up in "recent" or in "games", so im not able to launch it. What's wrong?
I formatted my system hdd (the storage from the xbox only), but nothing changed.

Seems like since the hard drive is popping up unformatted, sounds like the hdd has become defective end result; need a new hdd

The hdd worked again after formatting it, but the xexmenu still wont show up in games.
